Absolute Poker Rakeback - Cash Rewards Taken from the Rake
**** Do you want to play online poker and you are a US citizen, click here to sign up at BetOnline Poker. They accept US credit cards & eChecks. ****
Like other online poker portals, Absolute Poker makes use of rake in the various poker games that they provide for players. For those unaccustomed to rake, it is essentially how online poker sites make a portion of their income. Where as a brick and mortar casino would simply absorb the money from bets in a game where nobody wins, online poker sites take a small percentage of each pot in every game played. The rake amount is usually a percentage of the pot and will vary depending on the stake and number of players. Poker sites also offer players rakeback, where a percentage of the money lost to the rake can be re-claimed by the player.
Absolute Poker Rakeback Offers
Absolute Poker's current rakeback offer is 30%. Rakeback offers are most prominently found in affiliate sites. When a player signs up for an account on an online poker site through an affiliate, the affiliate then receives a percentage of the player's rake. The purpose of these affiliate sites is to offer bonuses and promotions through special coupon codes that entice newcomers to sign up at a particular online poker site. Nearly all rakeback offers, including Absolute Poker's, are only available to new accounts.
Absolute Poker Rake Factor
Absolute Poker maintains a rake schedule outlining the exact rake collected for every table limit and number of players. Those who play fixed limit games of $0.10 / $0.20 or will see Absolute Poker collect $0.05 for every $1. As the table limit increases on fixed limit games, Absolute Poker takes a greater percentage of the pot. In games with $5 / $10 or $15 / $30, Absolute poker collects $1 for every $20, with a maximum cap set at $3 per hand. This cap is set for all poker game variations except for certain table limits such as $200 / $400 with more than 4 players or $500 / $1,000 with 4 or more players. In such games the cap is raised to $4 per hand.
In no limit and pot limit tables, Absolute Poker maintains the $3 per hand cap limit and collects a rake between $0.01 for every $0.20 and $0.05 for every $1 in the pot. Heads up limit and no limit matches carry a slightly different rake scheme. Heads up limit tables have a max rake cap of $1 per hand with the rake ranging between $0.01 for each $0.10 to $1 for each $100 depending on the table limit. No limit heads up also maintains a max rake cap of $1 per hand with the rake collection set between $0.01 for each $0.10 to $0.05 for each $1 depending on the table limit.
Calculating Player Rake Contribution
Absolute Poker manages its rake back program by calculating the amount a player contributes toward the pot. For players who want to keep track of how much rakeback they are eligible for in any given game, there is a simple formula: (rake of pot X player contribution) / total pot amount. For instance, if a player is playing on a table where Absolute Poker collects $0.50 rake on the pot and the player himself has contributed $2 to a $10 pot, then his calculated rake contribution is $0.10.
Certainly not all players will even want to keep track of their rake contributions. But because online poker portals offer a percentage of the rakeback, customers who keep track of rake contributions can then figure out how much rakeback the will receive by finding out what 30% of the rake contribution is. The final number is then the exact rakeback amount for a rake contribution. This naturally means that the more a player contributes to a pot in Absolute poker, the greater the rakeback bonus will be.
Rakeback Deductions
All rakebacks come with necessary deductions. New players who sign up for a sign up deposit bonus and the 30% rakeback bonus will have half of the cleared bonus deducted from any rakeback received. This continues until the deposit or reload bonus has completely cleared or expired. From there on out, the player will receive the full 30% rakeback credit.
Deductions are also made to your rakeback if withdrawals are made. An $8 fee is charged when requesting a withdrawal on Absolute Poker via check by courier. Additionally, Absolute Poker does not offer rakeback on any amount less than $1. This is due to the variety of additional fees that come into play such as merchant processing fees and charge backs.
Rakeback is an interesting cash-back promotion that Absolute Poker offers. Depending on what game is being played, there are many different percentages of rake that Absolute Poker takes. Generally, the more you play, the more rakeback cash you will receive.
