BetOnline.com Poker Software - Review of the Software at Bet Online

**** Do you want to play online poker and you are a US citizen, click here to sign up at BetOnline Poker. They accept US credit cards & eChecks. ****

BetOnline Poker software is proprietary, meaning BetOnline pays designers and support people to create and maintain their own poker software. This is a good option for poker sites wanting to stay in the U.S. market, because they don't have to worry about the software company powering their poker room suddenly deciding to stop accepting US players. That's also good for American poker players, since they have one less company they're dealing with who might do the same.

Proprietary software also means you may not be able to get as much information on how the software performs as you would if you were looking up big poker software design companies like Microgaming, Playtech, RealTime Gaming, or Rival Gaming. Most of the reviews you read are going to either be glowing reviews to try to sell you on joining, or their going to be disgruntled people on a message board who may or may not have legitimate complaints. So I wanted to talk to give a full review of the BetOnline Poker software.

BetOnline Poker Software Update

After a number of years with their old, easy-to-use software suite, BetOnline Poker decided it would update its website in the middle of 2009 and release further gaming software updates in the middle of 2012. BetOnline Poker rolled out a brand new software package with expected results. Notice most of the complaints you'll find are from the period of this rollout, when the people playing in the Bet Online card room were the early adopters of a new product. As you know, being an early adopter of a new piece of technology is fraught with minor glitches and patches, as you're essentially product testing on the open market. The patchwork is complete and now players at BetOnline Poker have a much better poker software on their hands than the original, slimmed-down version of the poker room.

BetOnline Poker Room

When you get to the main page for the BetOnline Poker room cash games, you'll see a list of tables, along with all the stats you'll need to evaluate which is the best table for you. Players can sort through the tables according to "All Stakes", "Micro/Low Stakes", or "Medium/High Stakes". Most people will probably want to use one of the latter two options, but in case you want every possible table option at your disposal, you can use the default all-stakes page.

The next thing you'll notice are the wacky names for each poker table. These are going to have film title names like Rambo, Kill Bill, Shutter Island, and Black Hawk Down. These are just designations, so I suggest you find the stakes, limits, and average pot you like--not the movie you enjoyed the most. The stakes table gives the stake limits, which might be $50/$100, $30/$60, $20/40, $10/$20, $5/$10, and even less. You'll see whether there's a limit to betting, with designations like fixed or pot for limit poker and "NL" for no-limit poker. Other details you'll see include the number of seats at the table, the number of players currently playing, the estimated wait time, the average pot size, and the percentage of flops seen. In other words, you'll have all the information you need to select the best table and start playing for real money. But those aren't the only tool available.

BetOnline Poker Limits

Players also can sort tables according to whether they're no limit, pot limit, fixed limit, heads-up, full, or empty. Specialists in a certain type of poker should be able to find their specialty quick, while those who just want to find a game of poker with a seat open can get started immediately.

BetOnline Money Transfers

Also, if you're tired of playing poker and you'd prefer some other form of gambling the BetOnline network offers, the BetOnline Poker software interface gives you the one-click ability to transfer money into other sections of the Bet-Online network. To transfer cash from Betonline Poker to the BetOnline sports book, all you have to do is click "Transfer to Sports". If you had a nice run at BetOnline Sports and you need to fund your poker session, you can also click on "Transfer from Sports" to get the money you need. Getting money to and from the BetOnline Casino is no different, so the poker interface gives you access to all the gambling options at BetOnline without too many annoying delays.

BetOnline Poker - Go to Play Money

If for some reason you've decided to switch from real-money games to the BetOnline Poker for free option, all you have to do is click on "Go to Play Money" in the bottom right-hand corner of the page to start playing poker for free at Bet Online Poker. Once you're on the free section of the website, you'll be able to return to the for-money poker games by clicking on a similar phrase in the free games section of the card room.

BetOnline Poker Software Connectivity

One of the best additions to the BetOnline Poker software in their last big update was the inclusion of the connectivity feature. In the very low right-hand corner of the poker page, you'll see a bar that says "Connectivity" and shows the percentage level of Internet connection you have. This bar is going to look quite similar to the connection bar you have for the wireless router or modem on your desktop or laptop computers. This gives you a heads-up if your computer or Internet connection are experiencing difficulties, so you can find patches or solve your connection issues before they cause you to lose a poker hand.

BetOnline Poker Proprietary Software

BetOnline Poker's proprietary software was redesigned a couple of years ago after the site's management did a year-long study of player feedback and industry innovations. The idea was to make Bet Online software responsive to player needs and to facilitate the best gaming experience in the business. That's one reason BetOnline Poker is fast becoming the highest-touted online poker room to accept US players.
