With Bodog’s downloadable poker client and their flash based instant play version, players have two excellent options for enjoying table games and tournaments at Bodog. Windows users will be able to take advantage of Bodog’s downloadable poker client, while Mac, Linux and Ubuntu users can use the flash based instant play version that offers most of the same features.

Bodog Downloadable Client

The main way to enjoy poker action at Bodog is by downloading their proprietary poker client. The downloadable client is designed to run on Windows operating systems with a minimum of 32 MB of RAM and access to Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 5.5 or better. Additionally, users who run Windows compatibility programs on their Linux or Ubuntu operating system may also run Bodog’s downloadable poker client.

Bodog Instant Play

Following the popular success of providing an instant way to play poker through an Internet browser, Bodog has unveiled their instant play poker program to capture an even bigger audience.

Bodog’s instant play is flash based and runs on most Internet browsers, however Bodog recommends Internet Explorer 5.5 or better to avoid possible complications. As long as the Internet browser is up to date and the appropriate flash program is installed, players can quickly play in practice and real money tables without having to download and install any poker client software.

The instant play version is completely Mac compatible and is recommended for Linux and Ubuntu users. Players should expect access to all the game play and customization features that are included in Bodog’s downloadable poker client.

Software Gameplay Features

Bodog thrives on providing players with a streamlined interface in order to focus on the poker game at hand without having to search around for the right menus and tabs.

Other minor customizable details include the choice of 4 different colored decks and a whole wheel color of choices for the felt table graphics. Every player account comes with a customizable avatar that is displayed on a table and in the player’s dashboard. A spotlight option is included so players can keep track of whose turn it is. Also, those who want to listen to music can simply manipulate the poker sound options.
