Doyle’s Room features some of the most respectable professionals in the business. With the backing of Doyle Brunson himself, this online poker site knows what it means to be a top poker professional. Players can go up against their professional squad on a monthly basis.

Doyle Brunson

One of the absolute undisputed legends of poker, Doyle Brunson is the mastermind behind Doyle’s Room and has played a large part in the success of poker as a whole. Nicknamed Texas Dolly, Doyle hails from Longworth, Texas. While living in Texas during his teenage years, Doyle was an excellent athlete. He participated in the All-State Texas basketball team and performed in various track meets.

When an unfortunate injury and a long period of recuperation forced him pursue a life away from athletics, Doyle obtained a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in administrative education. Throughout his time in college, Doyle played several variations of poker using some of the earnings to pay his way forward in life.

After trying his hand at a regular steady job, Doyle turned to gambling and poker play. These games were often operated illegally throughout Texas. He then visited Las Vegas, where he decided to settle.

In Las Vegas, Doyle essentially grew up with the World Series of Poker. Having participating in the event since its inception, Doyle won the 1976 and 1977 championships, with a second place finish in 1980 among other respectable finishes.

While his presence at the table was something to behold, Doyle also made an impact off the table with his revolutionary book Super System – one of the most definitive guides to Texas Hold’em and other poker game types. The book’s details on technique, strategies and thorough coverage of poker changed the landscape of the game and the professional circuit.

To this day, Doyle still plays with the new elite of professional poker as well as making appearances at Doyle’s Room special tournaments where regular players can go up against the legend.

Mike Caro

Touted as The Mad Genius of Poker, Mike Caro holds a venerable Ph.D in poker. Born in 1944, Mike has not only impressed the poker world with his cerebral knowledge but he has literally changed the game during his time.

Mike got his big break within the poker industry when he collaborated with Doyle Brunson on the revolutionary Super System book. His contribution of over 40 statistical tables within the book shed light on poker’s mathematical foundation and how to take advantage of it.

While not having any World Series of Poker bracelets to his name, he has had seven money finishes making a total earning of over $150,000. This is a paltry sum compared to most modern day professional players, but Mike’s contributions have always been about the discussion and discourse of poker itself.

Mike has been the author of a bunch of fundamental poker related books including The Body Language of Poker, Caro on Gambling, Caro’s Fundamental Secrets of Winning Poker, Master Hold’em and Omaha any many others.

Along with making occasional appearances at Doyle’s Room tournaments, Mike continues to act as a consultant for a variety of casinos and keeps his mind busy with more poker related books and editorials.

Brunson 10 Team

With the onslaught of newer and younger professional poker players entering the pro circuit every year, Doyle’s Room has begun to arm itself with the brightest players by assembling the Brunson 10 Team.

Chris Moorman - Hailing from Brighton, UK, Chris already has a career earnings of over $1.5 million and he is not even past 25 years of age. Chris is a strong believer of playing poker the smart way and makes sure to keep up with the latest poker technique books. Chris can be seen playing in Doyle’s Room under his username Moorman1.

Amit Makhija - Amit took the poker world by storm when he reached five final tables and earned 12 cashes in his first year on the professional circuit – all of this right after having graduated from the University of Minnesota. Amit currently has a total career earnings of over $2.3 million and can be spotted at Doyle’s Room under his username Amak316.

Zachary Clark - A bit like Doyle himself, Zachary started out as a strong athlete in high school and college before giving way to an injury. After gradually learning his way around poker, Zach broke out by winning $400,000 in an online Main Event in August of 2007. He’s already got nearly $2 million to his name and goes under CrazyZach at Doyle’s Room.

Dani Stern - Haling from New York, Dani is another person who got his first taste of poker in high school and college before beginning to earn envious amounts of cash via professional poker. Owing his poker success to his knowledge of poker theory and meticulous observation of opponent’s characteristics, Dani has cultivated a young career with over $800,000 already to his name. He can be found in Doyle’s Room under Ansky.

Doyle’s Room features a great mix of old school and new school players. There’s no other place where players can go up against legends Doyle Brunson and Mike Caro and then challenge young stars of the Brunson 10 team in the same month.
