Winning at Party Poker in cash games or tournaments is only half the fun. From there, the other important half is getting access to your money, either to keep playing or to take home some of your earnings from your poker gaming experience. Registering your withdrawal preferences on your player account helps move the process along in a more effective way, however there are still some limitations on how and when withdrawals can be processed for a player.

Methods of Withdrawals and Cashouts

Because the methods of deposit vary with country, the accessible methods of withdrawals vary as well. In many cases, using debit cards like Visa Electron or Entropay for deposits authorizes those cards as valid withdrawal means. For debit cards:

  • Cashouts will be credited back to the card account within 3 to 5 business days.
  • Limits are between $10 USD and $10,000 USD.
  • Some cards charge a small processing fee near $2.50 USD, while others do not.

E-wallet accounts are frequently used for deposits. They can make cashouts very efficient. If a Moneybookers, My Citadel, Neteller, Click2Pay, Click and Buy or other e-wallet account has been used to make a player deposit, withdrawing funds back to that account is usually free. For e-wallets:

  • Cashouts reach the account within 2 to 48 hours.
  • Limits are variable depending on the provider. Limits range between $10 USD and $10,000 USD.
  • Most do not charge any processing fees.

Some countries support direct bank transfers to player's accounts. Again, if a player has registered a particular bank account and used it to make a deposit to Party Poker, it is considered a legitimate account into which funds may be withdrawn. Limits can range up to $70,000 depending on the country and the bank. Typically, these direct deposits process within 3 to 7 business day.

More efficient than bank transfers, and probably the preference of the high rollers due to the much higher limits are bank wire transfers. These have the highest cashout limits for any players. For bank wire transfers:

  • Withdrawals are sent within 1 business day and reach the account within 24 to 48 hours.
  • Limits range from as low as $10 USD to as high as $2,000,000 USD.
  • Bank wire transfers cost $10 USD to process.

Almost every country involved with Party Poker supports cashouts made by checks delivered either by standard mail or by a premium delivery service such as FedEx, DHL or UPS. The fees and limits for these vary only slightly from country to country. One downside is the lengthier time frame required for players to receive their winnings when using checks. The details for receiving check cashouts after approval are as follows:

Checks By Mail

  • $5 USD processing fee
  • Delivery is commonly 7 to 20 business days, longer in some cases
  • Amount limits of $50 USD to $3000 USD

Checks By Premium Delivery

  • $30 USD processing fee
  • Delivery is 2 to 3 business days,
  • Amount limits of $100 USD to $7500 USD

How To Make Account Withdrawals

Visiting the cashier at Party Poker is fairly simple. When you wish to make a withdrawal, simply login to your player's account. Select "cash out" from the action options and then choose your preferred withdrawal method. In many cases it is the same as your preferred deposit method.

Once your withdrawal request is approved, Party Poker may choose to first issue funds as reversal of charges back to a virtual card (i.e., Visa Electron) or credit or debit card. Otherwise, your full withdrawal will complete via your selected means. Party Poker's cashier issues an email receipt to inform you of the cashout approval and confirmation details including the method in which the payment will be processed.

Restrictions or Limitations on Withdrawals

Two major forms of limitations on withdrawals exist from Party Poker. First, any bonus money earned has to be cleared by the player by amassing a certain amount of Party points. If those bonus points are not yet to the required level, the withdrawals will not be "released" to a player until that time. This ensures a player actually spends time playing with the first deposit money and not just the bonus money.

The other restriction is also related to players earning sufficient points, but in this case due to the currency of deposit. Up to 15% of the deposit amount in points may be required in order for a player to withdraw funds from an interaccount transfer or gift certificate. Currency values are based on US dollar amounts. While withdrawals and deposits are welcome in other currencies, they will be calculated on the exchange rates of those currencies with US dollars.

Most players at Party Poker will earn sufficient points in their early days of play in order to clear earned bonuses and start on the way to sizable withdrawals. Many players let their account grow and use the money to play for a particular length of time before requesting a cashout. Party Poker supports its customers with account and cashier support as well. If a player has any complications regarding standard withdrawal procedures, customer care staff are available to sort out the issues. Otherwise, receiving the earnings of a player's poker stint is typically as easy as placing a bet: one or two clicks and the process is underway.
