Team PKR Pro boasts nine of the best players online from six different countries. These top-notch players represent PKR Poker at national and international live poker competitions. They promote the poker site and win big to expand the rapport of PKR in the poker world. Becoming a Team PKR pro is no small feat as these experts in their field have worked their way through the online rankings to achieve this highly rated distinction.

What Do The Team PKR Pros Do

The nine pros of Team PKP do much more than simply play poker all day, though none of them would mind if that was the only item on their daily agenda. In addition to being live representatives of PKR poker in worldwide poker events, these stars also spend energy helping up-and-coming poker players. Posting on the PKR blog as well as writing articles and participating in forum discussions on poker strategy allow the pros to share their best player tips with their fellow poker enthusiasts. These pros also commentate on games via PKR.tv as well as participate in live chats with players on PKR.

Who Are the Team PKR Pros

Henrik 'Pokey85' Eklund

Eklund is a fan of any big money games he can get his hands on, being a regular at PKR's top level cash tables for more than three years. Eklund is 24 years old and comes from Stockholm, Sweden to the PKR team. He finished second at the November 2008 PKR Live and first in the side game of the APT Manila Headhunter.

Ashley 'Ashleyhames1' Hames

Hames is as famous for his poker play as he is for his long-running Bravo TV show, Sin Cities. Hames is from London and has been a writer, TV presenter and poker commentator in addition to a now-famous poker pro. Since starting in 2000, Hames has ranked in the finals for the Celebrity Poker Club, reached the final TV table of the Irish Open and played in the 2009 WSOP main event.

Raymond 'callmebabe' O'Mahoney

Hailing from Dublin, Ireland O'Mahoney is looking for the chance to win it all at the Irish Open in his homeland. In the meantime, since 2007 O'Mahoney has staked his regular seat in the high cash tables at PKR. He finished fourth in his first live poker appearance, the PKR Live $500 Main Event.

Kai 'Kingkai84' Paulsen

Kai has been a PKR fixture since mid-2007 with an impressive record of online and offline play. From Trondheim, Norway, analytical Paulsen has amassed total winnings over $322,000 from cashes in fifth at the Irish Open in 2008 and two WSOP cashes in 2009. Only 25 years old, Kai has his sights determinedly set on winning one of the poker majors.

James 'James666' Sudworth

James is only 22, but has been at PKR since it launched in 2006. Fiercely aggressive in big money games, he is a model for aspiring young poker players. James is from Kent, UK and has already amassed winnings over £40,000 from just one leg of the GUKPT. More is sure to come in James' future.

Andrew 'Golfpro699' Teng

A strong strategist from London, Teng is also young and determined to rise to the top of the international poker world. He writes many articles and is well-known in the 2+2 Poker Community for his strategy and play. Andrew has already collected winnings of over £100,000 from WSOP events and the GUKPT. One of his poker heroes is Tom "durrrr" Dwan.

Karl 'discomonkey' Fenton

Caistor, UK proudly boasts the finance major turned poker pro known as discomonkey. Fenton is an online poker success story, winning more than $200,000 in just seven months of online poker play. He's also become a live event winner with final table appearances in the GUKPT Walsall side event and the PKR II Live, which he eventually won.

Adrien 'zlatan35' Allain

From Rennes, France, Allain boasts the status of two firsts with PKR: being Team PKR's first French member and its first Hall of Fame member. Adrien, only 23, managed to win his way to a $4000 seat in the 2009 Asian Poker Tour event in Macau via a $6 satellite tournament entry. Just after that, he won the whole event collecting total winnings of $391,000 along the way. That kind of spirit makes him a more than qualified Hall of Famer.

Vladimir 'Beyne' Geshkenbein

At 21 years old, the Russian Beyne, who currently lives in Malta, has been a ruthless gatherer of poker titles and winnings in his three year poker career. A high roller in PKR cash games since 2007, moving to live events fit his winning style also. Bypassing Johnny Chan, who has ten WSOP bracelets, Beyne scooped the final event of the APPT High Roller tournament. Later, he added another $120,000 to his total with a title at the PKR Heads-Up Grand Slam.

The young powerhouse team that PKR is building certainly makes a statement about the desire to win and the skill to accomplish it. With each of these nine pros from six countries already raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars event by event, poker fans will want to keep their eyes on this Team PKR Pro group. The future seems likely to hold many more impressive showings and a lot more winnings with these players at the table.
