OnlinePoker.org Basic Information
OnlinePoker.org Overview

Onlinepoker.org is one of the most comprehensive and informative poker information web sites on the Internet. Launched in 2009, onlinepoker.org has since added content every week in the form of strategy articles, online poker site reviews and informational Blog posts. While many poker review sites simply cover small aspects of each site's features through a review, onlinepoker.org goes as far as to include a large section for each poker site that covers everything that you need to know about the playing there for real money. Onlinepoker.org is managed by an expert in web marketing and web site content.
OnlinePoker.org Main Sections
There are essentially three different sections that make up onlinepoker.org - online poker site information, general online poker information and online poker strategy. In addition, onlinepoker.org also regularly updates an online poker Blog and several category pages that help online poker players search for the best poker sites for their needs, especially players from the United States. Seven different poker sites are sponsored on the web site and each includes a detailed review covering bonus, game and deposit information. The reviews section includes information on the most popular web sites sponsored at onlinepoker.org with about equal coverage of each.
The main online poker information section consists of a variety of resources that you can use to either compare the best poker web sites or review certain aspects of online poker play such as resources, game types, bonuses and deposit options. Onlinepoker.org also goes to great lengths to cater to Macintosh players and non-Texas Holdem players. Every major poker game variety is covered such as Draw, Stud, Omaha and Texas Holdem. One of the highlights of this main section is the poker resources section that includes information on whether you should buy poker books, hire a coach or attend classes at an online poker school. Of course, onlinepoker.org also provides online resources of more than 40 online poker and casino information sites.
Finally, poker strategy includes various strategy articles split between game types and a general strategy tab. By far, Texas Holdem is covered in more detail than any other game variety on the web site.
OnlinePoker.org Content
The thorough and informative content on onlinepoker.org has brought the web site a long way - particularly in the excellent Blog on the site with excellent strategy and web site information taken from real world scenarios and using game examples. Some of the best information on the site is found in the strategy section. The writer chose to cover a variety of strategies and compare them in order to serve players of different styles and backgrounds - rather than simply promoting a single strategy and only discussing it in detail. All strategy articles are written in the conversational, often first person style. This requires trust of the writer - something supported by an About Me section listed at the bottom of each page.
There is often a stark difference between the content on the web site and the content in the Blog. While the information is invaluable and well laid out in the Blog, the web site has several pages that can be difficult to read as they are written in block text format - often with gigantic paragraphs or sections that cover a variety of information that really should be broken up by subheads or subsections to make them easier to read. However, an excellent addition to each of the pages is a comment section where readers can comment on the specific strategies, provide their own ideas or provide additional information.
OnlinePoker.org Site Navigation
Overall, onlinepoker.org is very well laid out and easy to navigate. However, there is one quite strange layout feature that seems to be an error. If you visit onlinepoker.org and click on Poker Resources in the left navigation bar, you will be taken to the normal page but notice that the Poker Strategy section includes a great deal more pages than on the home page. This only occurs if you click this one section or one of the pages in poker strategy.
Although it is clear that the site designer wanted to split up strategy based on game type, clicking on poker resources gives you access to a great deal of general poker strategy pages that should have been accessible through a clear link on the home page. This is available but it lists different pages than are available through Poker Resources.
