Card Player has fourteen main sections. CardPlayer.com has a lot of content which deals with the current standings and everything that is going on with the poker scene. However, one area in which this site excels is their strategy section. They have a vast amount of information which is very helpful to anyone wanting to learn more about the game of poker. The fantastic Cardplayer forum is one of the most active poker strategy forums on the internet. ...was one of the most active poker strategy forums on the internet. Cardplayer decided to shut down their forums in September 2010 for unknown reasons. It is a real shame that such a wonderful resource no longer exists.
Cardplayer.com also hosts live rankings of live tournament players around the world. The Cardplayer Player of the Year race is the most prestigious award that can bestowed on a professional poker tournament player. Points are awarded to players for every finish in major poker tournaments and tabulated to award the “Player of the Year” award. Past winners include Daniel Negreanu, John Phan, and Michael Mizrachi. Cardplayer has recently started keeping track of the online player of the year as well.
In the strategy section you will see that you can use the selection boxes in order to choose the poker game of your choice and your level. Once you make your selections, you will be able to view video tips on strategy which has to do with the game you chose. The video tips may be a downfall for anyone that wants to read up on strategy, but great for anyone that wants to have it explained to them.
On the right hand side of the page, you will see a getting started box. This is a great place for beginners to focus on. It will provide the reader with instructions on how to play poker, the rules of poker, poker hand rankings, freerolls, and more.

CardPlayer uses left side navigation links. The website fits a lot of information into a small area of room. This can make it a little difficult to take in all of the information. The layout is very busy and it is not one of the most user friendly websites, but it obviously a difficult task with the prodigious amount of content on the site.
