Poker 770 also offers Jackpot Sit and Gos, which have the potential of earning an even bigger prize. Players who enjoy the pace and action of single table tournaments have a great shot at becoming Jackpot Sit and Go champions.

Entering Sit and Go's

The Sit and Go tournaments at Poker 770 are listed under their own subheading in the Tournaments tab in the Poker 770 players' lobby. To enter, players click on the Sit'N'Go table name at whatever time they are available. If there is an open seat, the player will be taken to the table and seated for the Sit and Go. When the table is full, the announcement is made for the tournament to begin. Poker 770 runs Sit and Gos as full 10-player single table tournaments, 6-max tables or heads up pairs.

Jackpot Sit'N'Go Live Poker

The first of two Jackpot Sit and Go types is the Jackpot Sit'N'Go Live Poker tournaments. The jackpot part is a travel prize package worth $8000. The live part is that the winning package allows the winner to participate in their choice of one of the major European poker events: Pokerstars.com European Poker Tour, the World Poker Tour, or WSOP Europe. All the expenses are paid by Poker 770.

Claiming this incredible prize package comes at a demanding cost. Jackpot Sit'N'Go Live players have to win either 7 or 12 consecutive Sit and Go tournaments in order to win the Jackpot package. The total depends on the buy-in level, as these run at both a lower and higher buy-in cost.

  • For the higher $5 plus $1 buy-in level, players need to win 7 Sit'N'Go's in a row.
  • For the lower $1 plus $0.25 buy-in, competitors need to win 12 SNG tourneys in a row.

Regular Jackpot Sit and Go's

Four other Jackpot Sit and Go's run weekly at Poker 770 for cash prizes. Three of these tournaments have progressive jackpots. The stakes and prize levels increase for each of the four, as do the requirements to win the jackpot. These four Jackpot Sit and Go's are the:

  • Dirty Dozen: two tables, total 12 players, $2000 Jackpot prize, $2.40 buy-in
  • Maui: single table, 10 players, progressive prize at least $15,000, $6 buy-in
  • Rio: single table, 6 players, progressive prize of $25,000 minimum, $23.50 buy-in
  • Fort Knox: single table, 6 players, progressive prize starts at $50,000; $59 buy-in

How to Play A Jackpot Sit and Go

With each of these tournaments, the increased buy-in level and prize pool represents the greater challenge of having to play more games to win more money. Each of these jackpot tourneys add one more win to the total needed to claim the full jackpot. The winning requirements for each are:

  • Dirty Dozen players win four in a row to claim the $2000 Jackpot
  • Maui players win five in a row to claim the $15,000 or higher Jackpot
  • Rio players have to win six in a row to claim the $25,000 plus Jackpot
  • Fort Knox players must win six in a row to claim the minimum $50,000 Jackpot

The higher stakes Sit and Go's - Maui, Rio and Fort Knox - each have a progressive Jackpot. This means if no five or six-time winner claims that Jackpot in a certain week's tournament, Poker 770 will add to the jackpot either $3500 (Maui) or $10,000 (Rio/Fort Knox). The additions will continue until one winner does reach the right number of consecutive wins to take the full Jackpot. When the progressive jackpot is finally claimed, the prize pool resets to the original jackpot bases of $15,000/$25,000/$50,000. The progressive growth repeats again until the next jackpot winner.

Jackpot Consolation Prizes

In addition to the total jackpot prizes, Poker 770 is also offering consolation prizes for players who make five or six consecutive first and second place wins but don't qualify to take the jackpot. The prizes are $200, $300 and $750 for each increasing Sit and Go. Though small in comparison to winning the total Jackpot, it's still a bonus to win an extra prize for the top places.

Poker 770 is taking Sit and Go tournaments to a new level with these progressive and live event Jackpot Sit and Gos. They add an extra challenge to these unique tournaments that makes them extra enticing for players who may not have participated in Sit and Gos, as well as for those players who favor them over other types of tourneys. The Sit and Gos at Poker 770 are worth the effort and the investment.
