A Sit and Go, or SNG, is a poker tournament that begins once enough players have registered. Sit and Go's are intended to provide fast paced chunks of poker that won't require an entire day to complete. Finding and entering Sit and Go tournaments at Ultimate Bet is easy, and the wide variety of buy-ins and stakes makes it possible for players of all bankrolls to enjoy Sit and Go action.
Locating Sit and Go Tournaments with the Ultimate Bet Lobby
It's simple to find the exact Sit and Go tournament you're looking for with the Ultimate Bet lobby. After downloading and installing UB, log into the lobby. From the menu located near the top of the screen, click on the Sit and Go tab. This will give you a sortable listing of all of the Sit and Go tournaments at Ultimate Bet. You can filter these Sit and Gos according to a number of parameters including game name, type (No Limit, Pot Limit, etc.), buy-in, registration state, and the number of player enrolled. Looking for a game that's almost full? No problem. Need a tournament with the lowest buy-in possible? That's easy, too.
UB Sit and Go Game Types
Ultimate Bet offers a wide variety of game types to Sit and Go players. Although the most popular game type is Texas Hold 'em, the site also offers:
- Omaha
- Omaha Hi Lo
- 7 Card Stud
- 7 Card Stud Hi Lo
- HORSE
- HOSE
- Razz
Look below the Type tab to find out if a particular Sit and Go tournament is using No Limit, Limit or Pot Limit betting rules.
Ultimate Bet Sit and Go Rule Types
After clicking on the Sit and Go tab, you'll be able to narrow your search by looking at all of the Sit and Gos that fall under a certain category. You can choose from:
- All
- 1-Table - a short, winner-take-all tournament in which the last player standing at the table is the champion of the tournament
- Multi-Table - a tournament with several tables where the winner of each table moves on to the next round
- Heads Up - essentially a multi-table tournament in which each table contains only two players /li>
- Satellite - a tournament with a small buy-in that rewards the winner with access to a bigger, more lucrative tournament
- Steps - a series of ten tournaments with increasing buy-ins
- Private - a closed tournament in which you invite only the people that you want to play with
- Fun - a Sit and Go for free play chips
UB Sit and Go Steps Tournaments
A Steps tournament is a special type of Sit and Go in which you play for a free buy-in to the next round of the tournament. There are ten total steps in a Steps tournament and the buy-ins (for players who won't win or take second in a previous step) get increasingly higher. The winner of the entire Steps series gains free entry into a major live event such as the LA Poker Classic. If you were to buy into the final step directly, it would cost $2,250+$100. However, buying into the first step and working your way up by winning would only cost ten cents.
