BetOnline Poker

BetOnline Poker is the poker room arm of the popular BetOnline sportsbook and casino site. Originally formed in 1991 with online wagers available since 2001, BetOnline has a gaming license out of Panama. BetOnline Poker has only been online since 2024, though BetOnline’s long history in the online wagering business means BetOnline Poker is more trustworthy than your typical two year old poker site.

BetOnline is one of a handful of poker rooms that currently accept wagers from Americans. Americans can even make deposits to their BetOnline Poker player accounts with eCheck deposits, an option that doesn’t exist at any other American-facing poker rooms.

BetOnline Poker Review - Overview of the Poker Action at BetOnline.com

Originally, BetOnline was a sports betting site, famous for offering a discounted line price of just -108, as opposed to the -110 offered by most books. When BetOnline moved to Panama in the summer of 2004, they were one of just two online gaming ventures hosted in that country. By the year 2006, Bet Online expanded into an online casino site as well, at that point employing more than 300 Panamanian citizens and occupying one of the largest and nicest headquarters in the online gaming industry. In 2024 BetOnline decided to get in the online poker business, using a version of the Hero Poker Network software.

BetOnline Poker Games

The only two poker variants currently offered at BetOnline are Texas and Omaha hold’em. Omaha is available in both Hi and Hi/Lo formats. Betting limits at Betonline are fixed limit, no limit, and pot limit. Table sizes do offer some more variety, with cash games available in heads up, 6-max, and full ring versions. Texas hold’em play bunches up around the 6-max poker tables, while Omaha games are pretty well split between 6-max and full ring poker games. Both variants offer the easiest poker games online.

BetOnline Poker Traffic

BetOnline Poker is only a couple of years old, so the site isn’t going to set any traffic records. Most of the action you can find is at the No Limit Hold ‘em tables, but Omaha is available in both cash and tournament formats. Like other smaller poker rooms, most of the action at BetOnline Poker is in the micro limit games, though there are some high stakes players that haunt BetOnline Poker.

Competition at BetOnline Poker is as soft as any other room with a big sports betting and casino gaming population. Most poker players at BetOnline Poker are crossovers from sports betting or casino gaming. These players are hardcore gamblers, so you can usually clean up in lower limit games.

BetOnline Poker Software

BetOnline Poker offers most of the popular poker software features you find at bigger online poker rooms. That means you can multi-table with ease, if that’s your thing, and re-size the game tables to your heart’s content. BetOnline Poker lets you check your hand histories, take notes on your opponents, and you have your pick of two standard table layouts, a classic layout and a more modern one, to make sure that the poker game you play at BetOnline Poker is exactly the way you like it.

The design of BetOnline Poker is minimalist: all the necessary buttons are displayed right where you expect them, with bright colors and large-print labels so you don’t have to look all over the screen for what you need. This makes the lobby and other features really easy to use, putting all the necessary features right in one place so it’s easy to search for a game, see a tournament schedule, or visit the cashier.

Lots of multi-tablers like the way BetOnline Poker caters to them. The poker software at BetOnline Poker lets multi-tablers arrange the tables how they want them with simple mouse clicks, see detailed poker stats on all opponents in all games clearly, use buit-in hand history replayer software to look over past hands in graphic form, and quickly move from a classic table to a more modern table in each of their games at once with a single mouse click. If you’re a multi-table player, check out BetOnline Poker’s software.

Bonuses & Loyalty Program

The bonus that most poker players are worried about is the first-deposit bonus, or bonuses that kick in for later deposits. BetOnline is currently offering deposit bonuses on all deposits for the life of your membership, good for up to $900 in bonus money for each deposit.
BetOnline’s deposit bonus offer is unique: new players can earn a 25% match on every deposit they make for the entire time they play at BetOnline Poker to a maximum of $900 per month. All the standard conditions apply: to earn money, you play in raked games, earning 1/6th of a dollar in bonus cash for each dollar you pay, only bonus cash you earn inside of 30 days is valid for each bonus, and there are different promo codes for different promotions. For example, if you deposit using a cash transfer method like Western Union, you earn a slightly higher bonus rate than if you transfer with a credit card. For more information on BetOnline’s deposit bonus promotion, check out our promotions page.

Other promotions include a freeroll tournament for new sign-ups every hour. The prize pools are small, anywhere from $10 to $200, but the entry costs nothing and only new members can play. It’s a quick way to pad your poker bankroll.
More than $150,000 in guaranteed prize pools is another way BetOnline Poker promotes their services. Lots of online poker players play in tournaments, so advertising a robust schedule of tourneys is a great way to attract attention.

BetOnline Banking Methods

BetOnline uses the US dollar as its exclusive currency, and payment and withdrawal methods include the following: Visa, MasterCard, Bank Wire, Check, Western Union, 900Pay, Prepaid Card, ATM Online, NETeller, InstaCash, InstaDebit, eCheck.

The withdrawal costs are as follows:

  • Wire Transfer fees vary according to amount of withdrawal.
  • Neteller charges a $15 transaction fee.
  • Bank Wires charge a $75 transaction fee.
  • Cashier's Checks charge a $50 transaction fee.
  • eCheck charges a $25 transaction fee.
  • Moneybookers costs nothing at all.

Customers can get one totally free check withdrawal every 30 days.

BetOnline Customer Service

Though BetOnline is only available in English, its customer service support personnel speak ten different languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and Finnish. Customer service at Bet Online is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Players seeking assistance can contact Bet Online by telephone, fax, e-mail, or through an Online Support chat system.

BetOnline is a young poker room that’s currently trying to build a larger player base. Their monthly deposit bonus program, offering a 25% match up to $900, makes it easy to add a few bucks a month to your player account, and a healthy tournament schedule and decent poker software makes BetOnline Poker a good option for players in the United States looking for a game that accepts their wagers.
